    Description

    This half penny coin was made in 1813 and depicts a ship on one side with "Trade and Navigation" written above it and the year written below it.  The other side of the coin says, "Half Penny Token" in the center with "Pure Copper Preferable to Paper" written around the outside of it.  This coin is just over an inch in diameter (picture 5; picture 4 shows penny for scale).
