    ACR Satellite 406 EPIRB, Battery Expired
    This is an older 406 unit manufactured April 1998 and the battery expired October 2008. This is a manually deployed unit that will at minimum need a new battery. It could be used as an inexpensive backup unit but would not qualify as a primary Beacon for any sailing races.
    This unit self tests with the Red LED blinks once and beeps 3 times (1 beep, then 2 beeps together). No other tests were done. It is in great cosmetic condition.
